Year of the Code Monkey

I have just started work on a new design for Born Geek. The layout won’t change a great deal, but the overall presentation (look and feel) will. Sadly, my skills as a designer are sorely lacking. My strengths lie in the actual coding. Give me a design to follow, and I can (most likely) recreate it through XHTML, CSS, and web standards design. But actually coming up with something creative and attractive? That’s a craft seemingly beyond my reach.

You may have also noticed some changes here at this site in this appearance department. I’ve tried to improve the contrast of various items (the date for each post and most notably, the links) and I think the results are an improvement.
