Minor Site Changes

I’m in the process of tweaking the theme at this site. Specifically, I’ve made a number of changes to the comments portion of each page; it seemed a little too cluttered to me. I have also removed the post navigation portion on each individual post page. Does anyone use that? If so, I’ll put it back.

  1. I don’t know if I’ve used them on this site, but I like previous/next links on blogs in general. They’re useful if you’re catching up, or if you remember that something was just a few posts earlier or something. But it’s your site, so make it look however you want. While we’re on the subject of minor site tweaks, why do you only show the date, and not the time, of your posts?

  2. I’ve put the links back, based on your suggestion (though they’re a little more compact now).

Due to the relative infrequency of my posting habits, I decided not to show the time stamp for each post. If I were making multiple posts a day, or if there were more authors at this site, I’d tack on a time stamp to each post. Do you think the time stamp is useful information to show?

  3. Well if there’s a glaring typo or something I usually don’t comment on it unless it has been there for several hours. :) That, and for some reason (this is probably just me) I feel like making a comment 10 minutes after the post goes up is kind of like arriving at a party on time or something.
