CoLT and Googlebar Lite Updates

Brand new releases of CoLT and Googlebar Lite are now available at Born Geek (and should be available eventually at the official Firefox add-ons website). These new builds add support for the new Firefox 3.0 RC1 build. The maxVersion in each has been bumped to 3.0.*, so these extensions should also be compatible with future 3.0 releases.

  1. I started using CoLT today and I find it really useful.
Thanks a lot for making it available!

I got 1 suggestion - would it be possible to add the option to copy the link of the page you’re currently browsing? I guess this could be available in case you’re not pointing at any link. This would really be useful - I could uninstall Copy URL+ (which doesn’t seem to be supported anymore).

Thanks again for the good work,
    Ophir

  2. Installed CoLT, I like it alot!

I’ve only looked at the options a bit, but is there a way to highlight an entire paragraph with 1 or two links in it, then pick “Copy as BBCode”, so the paragraph texte is copied, and the URLS are converted correctly for posting to a forum?

This would be extremely useful for copying parts of news stories and such.

Is this an option I am missing?

  3. Ophir: The feature you suggest is one that is highly requested, and I will take a look at adding it to a future release.

Troy: CoLT cannot currently handle multiple links (it only operates on one at a time). Doing this may prove to be tricky, since I might end up having to parse the selected HTML. Currently, I’m using a built-in Firefox function to handle the link copy (it’s one they just don’t expose to the end user). I’ll investigate this, and if it’s easy enough to do, I’ll add it to the feature wish list for a future release.
