The Victoria crowned pigeons, some of the oldest birds at the aviary, were surprisingly brazen the day we attended. They literally walked right behind me as I was taking a photograph of a plant in the aviary. Here, they show no fear of the people standing around. I would guess they were between 2 and 3 feet from me when I took this photograph.
